What is the Nigeria eVisa?
The Nigeria eVisa is an electronic visa issued by the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) that allows entry into Nigeria for tourism, business, transit, or social visits. You receive an approval letter by email – not a sticker in your passport. Print it and present it on arrival. It is valid for up to 90 days from issuance and allows a stay of up to 30 days for single-entry visas.
Who needs a Nigeria eVisa?
Citizens of countries outside ECOWAS (West African) who require a visa to enter Nigeria must apply. This includes citizens of the US, UK, Canada, Australia, India, and most other countries. ECOWAS nationals do not need a visa to enter Nigeria.

Do I need to visit an embassy or consulate?
No. The entire Nigeria eVisa process is done online. There are no in-person interviews, biometrics appointments, or embassy visits required. You submit your documents online, we file the application, and your approval arrives by email.
What documents do I need to provide?
You need to provide: (1) your passport data page – passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your travel date; (2) a recent passport-size photo; (3) a flight itinerary; (4) a hotel reservation. We prepare everything else – the invitation letter and host passport copy or CAC certificate.
Do I need to book a hotel or flight before applying?
No. You do not need to purchase real flight tickets or hotel bookings before applying. You will need to upload a flight itinerary and hotel reservation as part of your application. How long does the Nigeria eVisa process take?
Processing time depends on the plan you choose: Standard (7–10 business days), Growth (3–5 business days), or Rush (1–2 business days). These durations begin after the government fee has been paid and the application has been submitted to the Nigeria Immigration Service.
How will I receive my eVisa?
Once approved, the Nigeria Immigration Service issues an eVisa approval letter as a PDF. We will forward this to your email address. Print it and present it alongside your passport when you arrive in Nigeria. Immigration will stamp your passport on entry.
Can I apply for a group or family?
Yes. Family or group applications of up to 10 people can be processed together. Each person still needs their own passport and photo, but we can file the documentation together to coordinate travel plans.
What is the difference between a Tourist and a Business eVisa?
A Tourist eVisa (F5A) is for leisure and personal visits – up to 30 days, single entry. A Business eVisa (F4A single or F4B multiple entry) is for short-term business activities such as meetings, conferences, and trade visits. The Business eVisa also requires an invitation letter from a registered Nigerian company and its CAC certificate – both of which we prepare as part of our service.
Can I extend my Nigeria eVisa?
No. The Nigeria eVisa is non-extendable. If you need to stay longer, you must apply for a different visa category from a Nigerian embassy or consulate in your country of residence before travelling.
What if my eVisa application is denied?
Denials are rare. If your application is denied, we will explain the reasons and assist with reapplying. If we cannot secure approval, you will receive a full refund of our service fee within 30 days.
Can I work in Nigeria with an eVisa?
No. The Nigeria eVisa is strictly for tourism, business visits, transit, or social visits. It does not authorise employment. A separate work permit or employment visa is required for working in Nigeria.
Does the eVisa replace the old visa on arrival?
Yes. The Nigeria eVisa system is intended to replace the old visa on arrival programme. Eligible travellers should apply online through the NIS eVisa portal in advance of travel.
