In Lagos, where traffic, timing, and security can complicate deliveries, United Parcel Service Nig Ltd offers structured processes, formal tracking, and a professional office environment. Some customers value the air‑conditioned reception, courteous staff interactions, and the reassurance of working with a well‑known global courier. Others point to challenges with shipment handling, communication, and resolution of issues. As a result, customers who plan their shipments carefully, clarify terms in advance, and track packages proactively are best positioned to get the most from the service.
By combining international logistics capabilities with on‑ground operations in Gbagada and service coverage to areas such as Victoria Island and Ikeja, United Parcel Service Nig Ltd aims to support both personal and business shipping needs across Lagos and beyond.
Specialties
United Parcel Service Nig Ltd offers a range of courier and logistics services in Lagos, with a focus on both domestic delivery within Nigeria and international shipping. Customers commonly use the service for sending documents, personal effects, business samples, and commercial consignments across Africa, Europe, the Americas, and other regions. Through the global UPS network, shipments can be tracked online via the official website, www.ups.com, giving senders and receivers visibility on the movement of their items.
The company also supports time‑sensitive and express shipments, which are particularly important for passports, medical and health‑related supplies, and business‑critical documents. Some users have experienced delays, extra clearance requirements, or unexpected charges, especially where customs or regulatory agencies become involved. These cases highlight how crucial it is for customers to understand shipping terms, insurance options, and potential duties or clearance fees before sending high‑value or sensitive items.
In addition, United Parcel Service Nig Ltd handles imported parcels into Nigeria, helping recipients in Lagos receive goods ordered from abroad. Experiences vary: some customers report smooth pickups and helpful support at the Gbagada office, while others report difficulties reaching the right contact, concerns about item handling, or dissatisfaction with how complaints are resolved. As with any logistics provider, carefully documenting shipment contents, clarifying insurance, and maintaining communication throughout the process can make a significant difference.

Reviews
This is absolutely the worse courier service I've experienced. After charging me for Express shipping they collect exorbitant fees before I could collect my parcel. They have done this twice to me. The first time I had to pay over N10k the second time over 3k. Very unprofessional. I use dhl and fedex regularly and have never been charged a dime for collecting my parcel. Worse part is they wont inform you that you have to pay additional fees until its delivery time. I'll never use them again.
They have a below standard Service delivery for a global courier service like them. When items gets missing or damaged on transit, thereby leaving customers dissatisfied.
I regret using this service provider, they delayed shipment for 4 days in their office until i became worried and placed a call, the girl on the other side asked me to come to their office for pickup, very rude and unproffesional ,i want to escalalte this issue
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the handling of my recent shipment through UPS. Upon arrival in Australia in June 4 2025. my 50kg box was tampered with, resulting in the removal of nearly all my items. Below is a list of the items that were taken:

* Three pairs of clothes
* One complete pair of clothes (up and down)
* One inhaler
* One hair mousse
* Two hair sprays (Nova)
* One packaged egusi
* One Luodais spray
* Two edge control products
* One blue magic hair cream
* One hair mayonnaise
* One pack of twelve lip glosses
* One pack of twelve lip liners
* Two Crocs clogs
* One heat protectant
* One leave-in conditioner

I have not been provided with a satisfactory explanation for the removal of these items. When I contacted UPS Lekki, they stated they were unaware of the situation and would contact the head office. After the goods were packed, they were picked up by the UPS team and transported to their Gbagada office.

After three months, the information provided was that my goods were not insured, which is why the above items and clothing were missing. This information was provided after we requested for a refund of the above items .

UPS shipped 26kg of goods and requested a refund for my shipping balance. As of the 22nd of October 2025, the refund has not been processed. One Mr Ajiboye keeps going back and forth with all our emails.
UPS ARE SCAMMERS. Corporate SCAMMERS!!!!!!
The worst service ever, they lack empathy in regards to medical/health supplies. Playing cat and mouse games. How are they iata certified? Why is it always comma in Nigeria. You are on business because of customers so be kind and respect people. DHL/Fedex will never behave this way
I am deeply disappointed with UPS's service regarding a passport I sent from the United States to Nigeria on 09/22/25, with an expected delivery date of 09/29/25. There were no tracking updates until 10/06/25, when I was informed the package is held by the DSS office for clearance. After contacting the provided number, I was shockingly asked to pay 100,000 for clearance. Despite multiple attempts to reach your customer service, I have received no response, and my package remains undelivered. This is unacceptable for a trusted company like UPS. Please address this issue immediately and ensure prompt delivery.
The worst courier company on the planet. Poor response, staff lack manners and courtesy. My package arrived and I made all payments and I am yet to receive it. Phone numbers not working and when you reach customer care it is endless wait. You don’t know who to contact. The company is a fraud unprofessional and irresponsible
So amazing and this is my first time of send through UPS company or do I sent through DHL company but I think you make it eazy 😉 love you guys
Very nice place. I was feeling very frustrated when I came in. But there was A/C, the customer service agents were incredibly nice and there was water available. I began to smile before I realized. It was a great day
The service of this company is extremely poor. They are very poor at resolving issues concerning orders. Their front desk staff in both Lagos and Abuja are soo rude especially the females. They will delay you unnecessarily. They are not helpful at all. If you have any issue with your package , you would not be attended to properly and your resolution process would be degrading and bad.
