Coptic Hospital

My experience at the hospital was seamless, the reception I got, as well as the treatment. My doctor was great as well. I thought the whole procedure process was going to be a lot but everything was fine and I left earlier than I predicted.

Fantastic service…..Dr Mina Roman is an excellent surgeon and is very kind and empathetic with patients.<br><br>Televisions in ward rooms need to be smart-connected to Netflix and Amazon Prime Video.<br><br>All in all, awesome service in general.

I visited the hospital on friday 12th December with my daughter. Prior to the visit, I was a bit skeptical going by the volume of negative reviews I saw but I decided to at least see for myself.<br>1. The environment didn't give the typical hospital vibes. You could easily pass the place for a 4 or 5 star hotel. 5/5<br>2. Reception: i saw about 8 people at the reception effectively dealing with the volume of traffic of patients.<br>3. HMO Desk: the promptness and professionalism of the HMO desk was topnotch. Also thanks for my HMO, Dot for the speedy response.<br>4. Vitals section: i was a little anxious due to the volume of equipments I saw at first but the staff there observed my anxiety and calm me down. Thanks for my awesome daughter who also offered me water. After 3 cycle of checks, the BP and other vitals read correctly.<br>5. Orthopedic: i met an Egyptian Orthopedic. If you follow the typical Nigerian approach of wanting to talk at length, he would appear a bit arrogant cos of his direct nature of handling complaints. He appeared a bit not emotional which is what we are used to. I had to adjust to his style and guess what, the earlier recommended surgery and gel injection were completely wrong by his assessment. He simply recommended a completely different approach: mild exercise, swing of leg while seated, leg position should be at 95⁰ and above, never below 95⁰, reduce stair climbing, resume badminton game but play midly and then use of prescribed medication<br>6. Pharmacy section: i was attended to by 2 Egyptian pharmacists. The attention was prompt and business like, which a wish for quick recovery.<br>7. Summary score. If I want to be a selfish lecturer, I would offer them 4.5/5 but in truth, these guys sabi wetin dem dey do. A note of warning, don't go there to display any emotion as they are strictly business like.

I had the best care at COPTIC hospital this past weekend … Dr Maina and his team are the absolute best. From explaining my procedure, taking the time to answer my questions , allaying my fears and performing my surgery with utmost professionalism… I mean these guys blew my mind.<br><br>If you ever want to access quality CARE !!! Think no further … Go to COPTIC , they are doing the Lord’s work!!

This hospital is large, but unfortunately my experience did not match the scale. The processes felt slow and highly manual, for example, vitals were written on a card and handed to me to give the doctor, who didn’t even review them.<br><br>On my first visit, I brought my baby and waited over four hours to see a pediatrician because there was only one doctor on duty handling both emergencies and regular patients.<br><br>Four days later, I returned for my own consultation, hoping the pediatric unit was an exception. Again, only one doctor was available. Seeing the doctor was relatively quick this time, but afterward I still had to wait about 15 minutes for a blood test, even though there was no queue—highlighting ongoing inefficiencies.<br><br>Overall, the experience was underwhelming due to staffing constraints, manual processes, and slow turnaround times. Based on my personal experience, I prefer Evercare to this hospital.<br><br>I didn’t check the reviews before coming here, and I genuinely wish I had. After my experience, I went back to read them, and the number of negative reviews is alarming.<br><br>Dear reader, please don’t assume the negative reviews are exaggerated, they aren’t. My experience closely mirrors what others described, even reviews from over a year ago. That tells me this isn’t a one-off issue, but a recurring pattern.<br><br>What’s also troubling is how negative reviews are handled. The responses appear automated and generic, and don’t seem to translate into any real improvement. The same problems keep coming up, which suggests the feedback isn’t being acted on in any meaningful way.<br><br>I’m sharing this so others can make an informed decision. If service quality, accountability, and genuine customer care matter to you, I strongly recommend reading the negative reviews carefully before deciding to come here.

Honestly I am not happy at all, I came here on a Sunday, the receptionist was non chalant and was acting like she was forced to attend to me, the doctor was at least manageable, the only place I can say was a bit ok here was the vitals room, the nurse was really nice and made the experience a bit manageable. The pharmacist refused to respond when he was called by the lady at the front desk, I waited for over 30 mins and was on the verge of leaving before he showed up. I know hospitals work skeletal services on the weekends but it’s just too bad, ended spending over 3 hrs in the hospital. I didn’t want to use this hospital cause it had some bad reviews but I decided to give it a chance but obviously I should have known the bad reviews had merit cause I experienced it myself

Genuinely the most shocking medical experience I’ve ever had, in any country. The GP on call showed a complete lack of care or empathy. Asked me what he’s supposed to do about my issue. Prescribed celecoxib and chymocin meds after saying it’s a lifelong issue and I just ‘shouldn’t type on my laptop’ or ´do upper body workouts. Lucky you’re a woman so it’s not important’.<br><br>I mentioned tasks that are difficult in my every day life and he said ´at least you’re alive´. Nothing can be done except to take meds and do what I’m doing now I.e. wear a brace. No discussion about medical history, no referral, nothing about other meds I might be taking, potential risks etc. Made some joke saying ´nothing to be done unless we cut off the hand’.<br><br>I thought I was being pranked. Ended up going to another hospital today to get the same issue checked out and immediately got referred to Ortho to get resolved.<br>He never bothered to introduce himself so I don’t know his name or I would have included it on here. First and last time visiting this place.

I cannot recommend Dr. Mina at Coptic Hospital highly enough. He is an incredibly attentive physician who treats every case with a high level of personal dedication. He has a unique way of making patients feel completely at ease and comfortable. It is clear that he prioritizes his patients' well-being above all else, and his positive energy actually makes visiting the hospital a pleasant experience. I had a surgery done there last year. The HMO team assisted me professionally, and the laboratory truly deserves commendation for supporting me throughout my recovery journey. Despite my fear of needles, the experience was surprisingly pleasant and reassuring.<br><br>The only area that could be improved was access to the GP on duty, as my appointment took quite some time before I was able to see him. Great service
