We went for the valentine's day Candlelight Dinner and the food was good, ambience and music outstanding and we witnessed a marriage proposal which was spectacular. I would definitely recommend this place as a restaurant and want to explore their accommodation and boat facilities

C&M reviews Today's Menu : Tzaneen Country Lodge restaurant. Service : 10/10 Scenery : 9/10 Ambiance : 8/10 Drink variety : 10/10 Drinks : 9/10 Food variety : 10/10 Food presentation 10/10 Food critique : 6.5/10 Price : on the expensive side. Overall = 9/10 The service was excellent, and the menu is packed with options. The food was amazingly presented. I ordered the 500g T-bone medium with onion rings, the T-bone was medium to well done, and the fat was burnt and had a bitter taste. My companion ordered the 300g rump meduim with mash. The Rump was well done and had a bitter taste with the fat burnt. Overall, we enjoyed the restaurant, but the meat needs better preparation it felt rushed.

We booked and paid for picnic and merlot bath 3 weeks before. We arrived an hour before our merlot bath so we were there for more than 2 hours because we had to wait for the bath tub to be available once we were done with merlot bath which was the most beautiful thing ever, i give them 10/10 minus nothing now to the picnic. I was really in disbelief when they told us they did not do our picnic set up due to the weather being bad trees fell off which is fine when nature takes it’s course you can’t control it but we were there since 11 am and you failed to communicate anything with us for alternatives until 2 pm. You now offer us to use our money at your restaurant HELL NO or do our picnic at your dirty pool area. I wanted a refund they said it will take 7days i said i am not leaving without my money unless if i get the service i paid for and i dont play like that oh Mr Khangala came through for us he took to their wedding venue and did our picnic set up there and we loved it. Thank you Mr khangala as for your colleagues aih customer service -1 plus nothing.

Went to grab some lunch here on January 1, 2026. The service was extremely poor. We waited more than 10 minutes just to receive menus and over an hour for our food to arrive. Guests who arrived after us received their meals and even finished eating before we were served. I’m very dissatisfied with the customer service and the drinks are not worth the price either. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Beautiful place, lovely atmosphere. Loved the breakfast manu they offer. Loved dinner. We just had eskom employees who were staying at the lodge for 2 nights making noise outside by the pool side the hole night till the morning dawn, very rude bunch of people, so couldn't sleep one night. Even after security told them to keep it down twice. Either than that tzaneen is beautiful!

First time I booked a cheaper room cost like R1200 and the water wasn't working in the room I told the receptionist about it and all they said is that is how the rooms are. Second and third time as this lodge was closer to where I needed to work I booked the more pricey rooms and the experience was okay just disappointed in some of the staff attitude towards us, at least the water was running.

Got married at this venue weeks ago, we were not served our drinks even though we paid for them. The damage deposit is said to be refunded after 7 days after the event but I haven’t gotten my money it’s been three weeks and no one is willing to assist, very terrible service!

This place was a great choice, with three pools, friendly staff and amazing food! If you're flying in the airport is close and offers reasonable landing fees, fuel prices and we got safe parking there. Runway is very steep and taxi ways are located on one end of the runway. Plenty of stopping distance and two up hill slopes towards threshold 06 to assist on the evacuation at threshold 06.
