Of course no body will set out on a family vacation and expects that something might obstruct such a carefully planned trip, because all that comes to your mind is the scenario – the beach and the falls. But you always have to be prepared.

Safety items to pack on your trips

1. A waterproof back-pack

This is one most valuable item people seem less perturbed about when on the road. But then it is very necessary in case it rains all of a sudden and you are stranded in the middle of nowhere.

Your phone, credit cards, IDs, and important documents have a safe harbor as they are packed safe in this waterproof, and you could walk in the rain without batting a lid about your files.

2. A rain coat

A rain coat? Yes. You need a rain coat, this is not meant for the rainy season alone, but for all seasons. It is a safety hack. Rain coats don’t only serve as protection against being drenched by the rain, but could also be spread even on mud and used as a sleeping bag because of its waterproof nature.

In case there is a breakdown along the way, you could wrap it about your travel bag to safeguard your clothes and can be used as a blanket to avoid swatting mosquitoes.

This is one important tool travelers deliberately ignore for no justifiable reason. And it is rather pathetic that even private car owners find it almost inconvenient to carry this safety box with them when they travel.

But this is a vital safety measure that needs to be in place in case of emergency.

4. A sleeping bag

This is especially handy when you have your family together with you. Your little ones would want to rest their heads in case there is a breakdown along the way in the wood with no inn at sight.

This comes in different forms and shapes, and carrying it would not be so much pain since it has small and foldable ones. Whatever be the case, this should always sit in the midst of your travel stuffs.

6. Food

Interesting! Who forgets to eat anyway? You should pick a few grapes and apples from the grocery store to take with you when travelling, depending on your convenience.

Spicy food would soil your stuff if not packed properly and/or would become sour and too cold for consumption as you progress.

You can always afford to buy food along the way, but carrying your own lunch box is not only healthy but saves you the cost of consuming too many junks along the way.

7. Pepper spray

Yes! You may be wondering what you need that for. Goodness! This isn’t any war but a planned trip. Yes. We know. But what if?

You are stranded in an unknown place with other passengers where pick-pocketers are raiding the streets and the bus refuses to move an inch only for you to be compelled to spend the night in the bus.

You are helpless, with only a few bucks in your wallet and your only begotten phone. Your pepper spray would lend you some security until you are able to find your way.
