Sanlam

Arrived at this office this morning to get the wife's annuity to start paying out. I was refused entry because I do not carry my ID with me. The staff at the entrance are not even attempting to assist. All one can get out of them is "this is the procedure". I offered to write my ID number on the sheet, but that was also not good enough. Well, your procedure does not work for me. We had lawful business with this company, but were prevented from concluding it due to some ridiculous requirement. FYI: it is not a law requirement to carry identification with you at any time. And having uneducated gatekeepers with this attitude and this much power - and knowing they have - does not help either.

I have received extremely poor service from Shantel Marian at Sanlam. We are now in month six and still do not have the required documentation to finalise the estate handover. Despite multiple follow-ups, there has been no meaningful progress or clear communication. The delays, lack of accountability, and absence of urgency have been incredibly frustrating. This experience has been disappointing and does not reflect the level of professionalism one would expect from a company like Sanlam.

Absolutely horrible experience with SANLAM. They dont answer their phones and the broker is worse in terms of service deliver. Going to take up with consumer ombud

Sanlam does not have customer care service anymore, everything is done online and they will take 5 days to respond to you.

My provident fund was not released within its SLA. My Tax directive was not sent to. SARS. They are unreachable, they holding times are ridiculous. They do not respond to emails.

Signed up for sanlamreality, pathetic joke, I have been begging them since the beginning of January to fix my points, to date it's not reflecting but be sure, end of every month they take their debit order.

2 big companies- Dichem and Sanlam. One widow and a child. Nearly 2 years after the death of a husband and father (sole provider), still no payout. Unacceptable and unlawful, in my opinion. For those people who cannot advocate for themselves and have no way to access and use a computer- hopeless situation. Trying to help the widow claim what is rightfully hers is beyond exasperating. Why Dischem continue to support Sanlam is another story!!!

The most unprofessional and unorganised company I’ve ever dealt with. Full of lies and untrained people. I resigned at my company on the 1st of June this year. I was informed at first it will take 3month for my provident fund to be paid out. After the 3 month still nothing. Mind you I’ve been phoning every second week in that 3 months. Every single time they come with a different story. The end of Last month I phoned again to ask whats the hold up and I was informed my banking details needs to be confirmed. They also told me they wil escalate the process. I ask them if I could speak to a manager, they took my number and still no reply. This week was the last straw. Tuesday i phone and i was informed it at the final supervisor/manager for approval and it takes more or less a week but today i phoned and they told me it’s at SARS for approval and was send on the 13th. Two completely different stories again and again they will escalate the process and a manager will phone me. What a joke of a company full of lies. I would not even recommend my worst enemy to you. If i could i would give you zero stars.
