A Disappointing Experience with Dr. Muhammad I am writing this review to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the service my mother and I received today, particularly from Dr. Muhammad. My mother was in significant pain and sought a professional opinion, but the experience was deeply disappointing and unhelpful. This stands in stark contrast to our previous visits, where Dr. Deshan has always been incredibly helpful and professional. Firstly, Dr. Muhammad did not even bring my mother into a proper consultation room. He immediately dismissed her by stating that she needed to see a specialist, without conducting any kind of examination or even taking the time to listen to her concerns. Secondly, when we tried to explain the severity of her pain, his only suggestion was to "take a Panado." This response was not only unhelpful but also dismissive of the level of discomfort my mother was experiencing. It felt as though her pain was not being taken seriously. To make matters worse, despite knowing my mother was in pain, he did not provide a sick note for the next few days. The only document he would provide was for the exact day and time of the appointment. This lack of compassion and support for a patient in distress is completely unacceptable. The contrast between this experience and our usual appointments with Dr. Deshan, who has always shown a high level of care, makes this even more frustrating. The lack of care and professionalism shown by Dr. Muhammad was shocking. When a patient is in pain and seeking expert advice, a basic level of empathy and a proper examination are the least one can expect. To be turned away so quickly with such a flippant suggestion is completely unacceptable. This experience has left us with a very poor impression of Specsavers and the level of care provided by this specific doctor. We will be seeking help elsewhere and will not be seeing Dr. Muhammad again.

You took the time to help me find the perfect glasses, assisted with the technician to repair my broken pair while my new ones are on order, and went above and beyond with your feedback. They have walked a journey with me over the last 6 months to get the best answer for me with my glasses. Facilitating all the tweeks and changes I requested to get them correct and comfortable. From my first interaction with them they remembered me by name and appearance, always greeting on arrival and checking in on if I am happy with the glasses they gave me and offering further assistance as needed. Well done for good practical service.

Received excellent service at Spec- Savers Blue Hills. Staff were friendly and professional and very helpful. Special thank you to Lunga and Tracy who assisted during the first consult for my son. Glasses were ordered on Friday 2 May and was ready for collection on 7th May. My son was going to be moving to another region on 7th May and we were worried that the glasses would not he ready. Tracy said that she will try to speed up the order and even offered to have the glasses delivered to a branch closer to his new location if the glasses were not ready in time. When collecting the glasses we were assisted by Lunga and Cute who were again very helpful and friendly. Optometrist Dheesan was excellent as well, patiently answering my many questions. Thank you all for the excellent service...I have found my eye care professionals❤️

The team at SpecSavers Blue Hills are amazing. They truly embody what we call “Customer Excellence” and great team work. They work together in helping clients, so you don’t feel like no one is attending to you. They are all kind and super helpful. I took forever to select frames, but Thuli was so kind and patient and actually walked the store with me while I tried out the frames. She also explained their BUY 1 GET 1 Summer Promotion so well, that I even bought in😁. I love that they smile too☺️. Keep up the excellent Customer Care guys.

I have been coming to this branch for a number of years now and honestly, I would recommend them to everyone. Professional, courteous, friendly and super helpful. Most importantly: affordable eye care. The lady optometrist today was wonderful but I have dealt with Deshan (hope I spelled that correctly) in the past, and that was a super experience as well. I have received such amazing customer service and support from Tracy and the team at Blue Hills Spec Savers. Tracy was a true hero in making sure I am 110% happy with my glasses and navigated my many requests and challenges with a fun, warm and happy smile. She is a gem!

Frame and lense all delivered in 4 working days! Out of the 5 Spec Savers I have been to in South Africa, this is the most efficient and friendly. I feel good.
