Today, 10 January 2026, my wife experienced a brake failure in our car just as she arrived at the Medicross Centre in Constantia Park, Pretoria. At about 10h30 I phoned the AA to ask that our car be recovered and brought back to our home. I think it was before 13h00 when the AA truck arrived here with the vehicle. The driver was Dee or Dean. I regret that I did not get his exact name. I regard the AA's assistance to me as being quite prompt and I am very satisfied and grateful.

Left my wife stranded on the side of the road because they couldn't find my VIN number on their system. I had to tow the car myself in the rain. The following morning, my VIN number miraculously appeared on their system. I called 3 times for an explanation. Even paid them a visit in Midrand. was promised a call back and.... absolute silence. pathetic service

Very poor service. I am parked on a traffic island in Pietermaritzburg. I've broken down and the assistance which AA promises, and for which I have paid, is not forth coming because apparently their systems are under maintenance. Surely you don't do maintenance on all systems at the same time? App isn't working, phone numbers aren't working, and emails just get an automated reply with an instruction to phone the number, which isn't working, in the case of an emergency. Very disappointing indeed. What am I paying for?

This AA is now become a scam AA sent my VW Golf to their locksmith whom I was requested to pay R8,500 for a key, and car was sitting for 3 weeks, until they towed it back with no key and refuse to get involved to recover my money saying it’s 3rd party matter, I must go to police. ECU is also swooped, but they still debit subscriptions.

Honestly very disappointed with them as I have been a member for an extremely long amount of time including family members who have been members for more than 40years they are the least helpful people I have ever dealt with I never ever have any claims until yesterday I needed there assistance but they could not be bothered or even care about there clients.

The AA technicians have helped me on various occasions when my car got stuck for different reasons. They have all been very helpful and knowledgeable and solved my car problems every time. I gladly pay the annual subscription - it is worth every cent.

I'm not even an AA member but I received assistance yesterday from one of their techs when I got stuck on the side of the road. I can't even remember her name, but she got me on my way again in no time. She didn't need to stop and help me.... Well done AA, if this an indication of your employee training standards and company culture, I am duly impressed. I will be signing up for a membership!
