Mahikeng Traffic Department

16 October 2025 Thanks to Rre Kopa and his colleagues,i received a wonderful customer service from start to finish.I went to renew a license and within 30 min i was done.

I am currently standing in line of the traffic department, it's empty inside no stumpid but there services are deliberately slow for no reason yet its a provincial department, please fix the mess or this information recorded will end up on ticktock for awareness

This is the worse performing licensing department in the whole of South Africa. Attendants treat people Luke they own them. They exhort money out of the public and if you know the truth you are targeted. Any small mistake you do you are turned back and others are also influenced to hate you. Truth be told the management is comprised of cowards who are be told what to do. Anyway the truth has always a way of coming through.

Not bad, I got help quickly, but the fact that they just put a number on Google maps and not answer phone calls means if I live 60 km away and its the only traffic department nearby where I live, id have to travel all tge way to the department just for enquiries... they really need to fix tgat because its an inconvenience

This departments phone keeps on ringing and no one answer i need my PLN2 orginal form my car and i can not get trough to no one

Friendly staff. Despite the friendly atmosphere, the buildings are run down, unfortunately typical of what we have seeing in the North West Province

I needed assistance very urgently to register my car for a disc and had to call the head office, I was given another number that supposedly deals with licensing and registration and it rang until it dropped itself. I kept trying for about an hour, no answer, but sometimes when I called I got a "line busy" response, but they never answered my calls.

Queues are manageable I think. I went to collect my license card and was served in less than thirty minutes. I spent almost half a day twice previously on queues first to renew my discs and second for my application to renew the license card. It was very different when I went to collect the card.

Can't believe that Mafikeng is actually the capital of north west.staff in Mafikeng needs to learn how to be courteous and at least smile.people need to do the jobs that they get paid to do..not get paid for nothing...

You will wait but in that process you end up laughing when you start to talk with the person next to you. In other words you will make new friends, lol.
