Specialties
Ubuntu Life specialises in life insurance and funeral cover tailored to the needs of Soweto and Johannesburg families. Their main focus is providing cover that can help with funeral expenses, transport, and related costs when a policyholder or covered family member passes away. Clients often highlight how fast and smooth the claims process can be when paperwork is in order, which is crucial during times of grief when families need support rather than delays.
A key strength of Ubuntu Life is its claims handling and customer support. Many families report that they were guided step by step, from finding out that a policy exists, to completing claim forms, to receiving the cash benefit. Some beneficiaries only discovered a policy after a loved one had passed on, then contacted the Ubuntu Life call centre and received patient explanations and prompt follow‑up. This kind of responsive support, especially over the phone and via messaging apps, helps reduce stress and confusion at an already difficult time.
Ubuntu Life also provides in‑person assistance at its Soweto branch, which is important for clients who prefer face‑to‑face conversations about their policies or who need help understanding deductions on their accounts. The company’s presence in Soweto, Johannesburg, makes it easier for residents to walk in, ask questions about policy terms, dependants, and cancellation or changes, and get clarity on their insurance. For anyone considering cover, taking time to sit with an agent and go through the details can help avoid misunderstandings later.

I submitted my dad's claim on Friday, 10/10/25 and on Tuesday,14/10, I received the cash benefit. I never had to call or enquire about anything. Everything was just smooth. Thank you Ubuntu life!! Might I add that I didn't even know my dad had this policy until it popped up on his WhatsApp when I was going through his phone few days after he passed away. I called the call Centre to ask what is Ubuntu life. The lady explained to me how they work, checked my dad's policy and found it's active and listed me as beneficiary. The lady same time asked for my WhatsApp number and forwarded me claim forms on Thursday. I submitted all the docs on Friday and Tuesday the money was paid. Simple... Thanks once again🙏🙏
