Rubbish company keep away from this company
The worst, my phone was cracked at the back. sent them my home address for more than 5 times, yet the courier company driver kept calling me from am address i stayed at more than 9 years ago. The phone finally came out of repairs and I received a notification, however now the courier company driver is calling me to deliver from another province, with an address i don't know of, the turn around time for delivery was horrible. Finally received the handset, my camera quality was no longer the same until my iPhone did a software upgrade and it gave me an error that the camera iPhone part is not an Apple part. the camera sometimes works it doesnt and just show me a rainbow. i called the company again regarding the camera issues and they arranged a second pick up, while i was waiting for the device to be picked up, the back of the phone cracked again, the one they were supposedly fixing, when it gets to repairs, they said they cant fix the camera because the back of the phone is cracked and the job card was opened only for the camera. they returned the phone just like that.
Useless insurance company. Cannot receive a quotation or insure anything on a business policy the entire week, because the entire commercial side is on holiday! Spoke to two people on the personal insurance side and complaints department and they could not even assist! This company should cease to exist!
they are wasting ppl's time and money. my claim is for more than 2 months, assigned to 3 diffrent resources from Santam. evryone of them requested diffrent documents to submit that needs me to go to police station. after 2 months they requested video footage otherwise they can't help. They will find a reason not to pay your claim. Rather choose a proper insurance company

Sipho Sithole still does not read or respond to emails. I have not defaulted with any premium payments including increased premiums and still this is the horrendous service i have bern getting. Water loss which they clearly stated they will not pay. 1 year plus a few months. Now I am just ignored. The inconvenience of not being able to use our second bathroom. This 1 claim has been ongoing for months now. Sipho Sithole does not read emails to understand the problem. It's either he does not understand English or cannot read. Different claims are being opened and closed without being resolved. Sipho phones me only when i post a review and has the audacity to ask me to hold on whilst he tries to read the emails but still does not understand or just does not want to understand. I refuse to deal with him as he has no knowledge and I refuse to continuously explain the situation. I sent them the report from Electrolux but received no acknowledgement.
They only like you when you pay and don’t claim. The day you have to claim , eish , they look for any possible loophole not to pay, delay payments for as long as they can and then still only pay you partially. Think twice before you join. You might find that it is cheaper and totally hassle free to just pay for your own damages without insurance.
I pay my premiums every month and it's 5 month and still no claims payment from Santam. Everytime I ask them when are you paying me out they say their claim committee is still reviewing it. It's very simple you tell the client what you can pay and what you can't. You don't keep them waiting for 5 months !!!! Stay away from this insurance company. They are very unethical.
Santam, I have absolutely No words for you!!!! I have personally experienced your dishonest behaviour and lack or respect for a 40 year running client. The Fact that you have engineers on your panel that shouldnt be on there purely becuase they have absolutely NO client ethics. Its NOT what you say but HOW you say it. You know who I am and you have my contact details too!! I suggest you get this issue sorted VERY quickly!!! We will pursue this matter until a positive resolution is met.
Absolutely useless!!! We struggled with no hot water, they for 24hrs. They could not send someone out, or log a claim or help us in any way possible but to take my money they very quick to do that!!! I'll rather go to outsurance where I know I'm getting quality for money!!!!
Kholeka the lady at switch board was no help as I had an emergency. She totally failed to be attentive and simple pay attention to my request. I understand that employees have no direct lines but what kind of company that does not have Human Resources to accommodate employees emergency from their family members? I hope all calls are recorded here such service is unacceptable.
