Sanlam are scam artists, do not deal with them. I settled a loan in full and they continued debiting my account and refuse to pay back the extra money they have debited from my account.
Poor service! Im trying to claim investment for my daughter to go to school, its a struggle. For the claim to be processed they said it will be within 5 working days, after that i called they said they have a back log, told them that time is against me can they please speed up the process. Day eight today my daughter has to leave on Monday still no money i called they told me another story about their system with an error, they will talk to IT guys to fix it but still no help when i call again they dropped the phone while I was on hold
I'm finding it impossible to reach anyone at Sanlam to assist with a policy payout, shocking non service, wait for ages just to be cut off..Regional Manager has contacted me so it seems you just have to persist
Sanlam don’t care about no one as long as they get the money they don’t have sense of urgency I wouldn’t advise anyone to take this company
I have been a loyal Sanlam client for many years, but after this experience, I will never think of Sanlam the same way again. I have been trying to surrender my grandfather’s death policy after his wife passed away. It has now been 3 months, and all we need is a simple document for him to sign. Despite phone calls and emails, we still haven’t received it. Sanlam Sky has made it impossible to assist an elderly person with their own policy. I honestly don’t know how any family is supposed to get help if the policyholder passes away — the level of service is practically non-existent. At this point, it genuinely feels like the policy doesn’t even exist, which is extremely concerning. You pay for a product, but your loved ones may never be able to use it when they need it most. Very disappointing service. I cannot recommend Sanlam Sky to anyone.
Sanlam Gap is basically a zombie service. It's almost impossible to get hold of anyone through their call center and to get any type of information on a claim, adding a dependent or even following up on your own complaint. I do not recommend this service.
Skelm and plays for extra time and doesn’t pay out. They are literally bullying my mother who is a pensioner. This is disgusting business practices! Shame on you! Email on email promising to pay out but still nothing after 8 months. Time for MR OMBUDSMAN!! Can someone in SA just start doing their bloody jobs man! Useless!
Have been trying for over a year to transfer my Sanlam Retirement anuity from Sanlam to Momentum. Sanlam only sends auto replies on emails. Only one email reply sent in over a year. Sanlam do not answer calls. You hold for 10 to 20min and no one answers. You visit their branches, the consultants say that your claim has been escalated, but still no phone calls, only automated email replies, and when you go back to follow up, all the staff are on lunch or offline. Seeing if I can get hold of top management, but I believe lawyers will need to resolve as there is no customer service @Sanlam. Very frustrating.
Don't use them! Their service is so poor. My parents always used them, and I thought they are good providers, but I really regret it. I have been struggling for 9 months to get information out of them regarding my product and still no feedback. No one picks up the phone, no one responds to their emails. Just, don't use them. If I could have given them a minus star I would. Don't give them your money. I literally don't know where mine is currently.
it is extremely concerning that you are incapable of providing your employees with the necessary professional skills and training. The incompetence from within is evident in your staff’s unprofessional treatment of customers. The services I have received from your provident fund division is quite appalling. The transfer of only 18% of my provident fund and the subsequent disappearance or the balance, as well as the cancellation of my phone call by consultants who inform me that I am unsaleable for assistance from Sanlam due to not having any products with them is extremely shocking. My funds vanish from your care and you then tell me it’s not your problem?
