Had to call back 3 times just to ask for a quote for a service plan and yes, I'm still waiting for someone to get back to me with that quote. I'll take my business elsewhere thank you very much.
After service is very very poor. Waiting on a phone recording. No feedback. Still waiting
You dont even 1 star you're something else when it comes to claims. I highly dont recommended when you see them run.
Literally been waiting almost 2 months for someone to come evaluate our car so we can have it repaired. We have a full service, maintenance and warranty plan but here we are waiting without a vehicle with no communication or response.
The best warranty I've ever gotten I'd get it again given the chance. I am truly blown away lol. Sometimes it feels like a cheat code. To be fair, my warranty was a little expensive (R34K in 2022 when I first got it). But since then, each and every service as well as the repairs were carried out without hassle. I am sure I've repaired my car for repairs and service costs well over R80K-R100K. Here's a general rule of thumb if you don't want issues with your claims. * Take care of your vehicle, ensure your oil changes and services are done on time. * Simple things like keeping your tires properly inflated to the correct pressure at all times will take you a long way. * Clean your car, do your due diligence. * Avoid driving the car with known issues - get them resolved asap! don't hesitate. Thanks Motorite, I'd recommend you to anyone, any day.
I'm struggling, I still busy trying to claim for shortfall. They asked me so many unnecessary documents, fortunately enough I got them. Sent them, but they don't respond..I was paying very nice without skipping
I will never ever take any product with Motorite again, Worse Service i have ever received. Claim for my shortfall cover which took forever Claims Consultant had all documents but told me she need time 7-14 working days to attend to my claim.mind you interest keeps going up on my shortfall.
Last year end of June I renewed my service plan and took out a service plan for my wife's vehicle too. July they deducted on the first and on the end of July. I told the person assisting me that I get paid on the last day of the month so I would like the debit to go off on the last day that I get paid. In December I booked my wife's vehicle for service at Honda. Her car stood there the whole day not being serviced, only to find out that motorite debited two installments the day before I got paid so the debits didn't go through. I felt so embarrassed plus the inconvenience of having the car stand there the whole day when we needed it. End of December they again debited the day before I get paid and now again I got a notification that they debited when I'm getting paid tomorrow. It seems to me like they deliberately debit the day before I get paid to not cover both vehicles for service. I have been debited for the seventh month now today and still we can service our vehicles. I'm strongly advising anyone to not take out any plan with motorite. I'm taking them to the ombudsman tomorrow morning!
All these negative reviews??? Let me just add my 2 cents here. I owned a Honda for about 9 years and have had Motorite Cover for as long as I've had the car. Drove it from around 80 000km to 360 000km. We did alot of long distance weekend family road trips and during the entire time that I've had cover with Motorite, they've always honoured claims and were always willing to assist with clarity on anything. In fact, for the most part, I did not even need to call them as either Honda or Steve's would sort things out with them. I would just book my car in, get dropped at home or work and they'd fetch me the afternoon. All the workshop would ask is if I have cover and I'd say Motorite. Done. Car would get sorted and I wouldn't have to lift a finger or anything. They really made owning a car enjoyable. Thank you Motorite.
A NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE: Avoid Motorite at All Costs – Unfair, Unresponsive, and Financially Exploitative 0 STARS My experience with Motorite Administrators (Pty) Ltd. has been beyond frustrating. If you're considering a warranty with Motorite, think twice. Here’s what I went through: On October 10, 2024, my vehicle's turbocharger failed while still under warranty at an authorized repair shop. Despite this, Motorite denied my claim, citing a vague “simultaneous failures” clause because I had recently submitted a claim for cooling system repairs. This rejection goes directly against what’s covered in my policy and felt like a blatant refusal to honor their own terms. After endless back-and-forth, Motorite finally offered R2,000.00 towards the R15,250.00 turbo repair cost. For the cooling system, which cost R29,773.03, they covered only R10,000.00, leaving me with R19,150.00 out-of-pocket. The process has been made even worse by Allison Pijl, my assigned representative, who has asked for the same documents repeatedly without making any progress. Just recently, at 15:34, I received an email confirming my payment of R2 000 was to be loaded for the next morning’s payment run. But not even ten minutes later, I received another email saying that the information I’ve explained and sent over multiple times still “does not correspond” with their requirements. It’s clear that Motorite’s strategy is to drag out the process with contradictory and redundant requests, hoping customers will simply give up and absorb the costs themselves. Their claims process is deliberately obstructive, customer service is incompetent, and the financial burden they leave on customers is appalling. If you value your time, money, and sanity, avoid Motorite at all costs. They are dishonest, unhelpful, and an absolute waste of time and resources. THANKS FOR NOTHING
