Possibly the worst customer service I have ever experienced. After lodging a claim, I was endlessly passed from one consultant to the next, each more unhelpful and uninformed than the last. No one takes ownership, no one follows up, and every interaction feels like starting from scratch. The claims process is deliberately drawn out, inefficient, and exhausting. Instead of resolving issues, this company seems focused on wasting your time and avoiding responsibility. If you value your time, sanity, and money, I would strongly recommend avoiding this insurer at all costs.
Never in you whole life phone the hollard call centre, not a single person that works there knows what is going on. Dropped the phone 5 times before holding for more than 20 minutes to speak to these people. Thank goodness this is not my insurance company

Terrible service, emergency number not working, phoning their call centre to claim for a badly damaged windscreen. Have been on the line with at least 6 people over the last 40 min no one can assist. keep giving me numbers to phone that lead nowhere of speaking to people that give me other numbers. Run and never use Hollard!!
Exceptional Service & Professionalism – Hollard Insurance (Head Office, Johannesburg)-18th and 19th December 2025 This post is written purely as a compliment, regardless of whether my matter results in any personal benefit or outcome. I would like to commend the staff at Hollard Insurance – Head Office, Johannesburg, for an exceptional level of professionalism, energy, and commitment during the festive season. I visited the Hollard head office on 18 and 19 December, just before end of business day, at a time when the company had already closed or were operating with minimal staff. What stood out was not merely that staff were present because it was their duty — but the enthusiasm, responsiveness, and seriousness with which they carried out their roles. On 18 December, I arrived at an almost completely empty office building — virtually no staff present, with only one security guard on duty inside — yet the front desk representative, Kelebogile Seboge assisted me immediately and went far beyond what could reasonably be expected. In an otherwise empty building, she facilitated an urgent Zoom call, ensured continuity of engagement, and handled the situation with calm professionalism and initiative. Special recognition also goes to Lelanie Fourie (Team Leader), who took the trouble to facilitate urgent communication via Zoom and ensured that the appropriate senior personnel were engaged promptly and decisively. On 19 December, I was seated in a boardroom with Mr. Dan Rauleka, Senior Forensic Executive, who spent three uninterrupted hours with us, engaging thoroughly, attentively, and constructively to facilitate and address our inquiry. This level of availability, focus, and professionalism — particularly at this time of year — is rare and admirable. We all understand that employees are expected to perform their duties. However, what I experienced at Hollard went far beyond obligation. The energy, attentiveness, and professionalism displayed felt as though it were January at full operational capacity, not the tail end of December when most people are exhausted and disengaged. Compliments are often overlooked, yet they matter. This is a genuine acknowledgment of staff who take their roles seriously, show pride in their work, and deliver excellence even when circumstances make it easy not to. Well done to the Hollard team. This level of service deserves recognition.

Slight parking misunderstanding but perfect service to collect my Daredevil run pack from there!
This is the worst Insurance one can get! DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT take one out with them. It is now 3 months of having to go back & forth, trying to rearrange my Policy with them. Just because I cancelled my Life Cover portion with them, it has been a hassle to update my details to a non-smoker; a test done 3 weeks ago and still no updated Endorsement Letter. Three months!! I'm now sitting with no Life Cover for 3 months because I can't go to the next company without that updated Letter. I will have to sit another 6 months because it's the waiver period has now passed! I'm so done with this company, it's not funny!

Would not recommend after a month without my car and messing me around then telling me its a write off,now Im struggling to get the payout and Ive lost my income for a month. Would not recommend this company at all,it will just cause you stress.
