I started dealing with one of their agents and after a few consultations he disappeared. I haven't heard from him since. I ended up having to go directly to the companies for my medical aid and GAP cover.
So glad you violate the POPI Act and have an automated AI call people up for direct marketing without their consent. Have a 1-star review to reflect your unethical and illegal business practices. As a matter of principle, will never be doing business with you, and shall go out of our way to make sure others do the same. Edit: I will NOT be contacting you and providing even more personal details. This is YOUR problem, so fix it by stopping your illegal business practice of cold calling without consent. Or is that too hard for you to do?
This is so misleading. When I tried to get a building insurance quote, the initial quote shown on the Hippo site was totally misleading. The actual quote was more than 3 times the premium on Hippo. Obviously the premiums shown there is nothing more than click-bait. Useless service. It does NOT save you time, because you still need to spend 15 minutes with EACH insurer they “feed” you with to get ACTUAL quotes.
Hippo is awesome, friendly and always ready to help. The reason why I'm giving 3 stars is because the lenders that they have are liars they say no fees upfront but when you Approve they come with stories about insurance and lawyer fees. I'm a single mom with a sick child in hospital that needs to have a surgical procedure and my medical aid doesn't cover everything so I applied for a loan and all was good until my approve letter came then it was different stories. I basically begged for lenience but they turned their heads and responded no sorry. Please hippo consider getting other lenders that actually want to help people
By simply browsing options on clear score, somehow Hippo decides it's acceptable to then call you 5 times within the space of an hour. No call back or quote was requested, so why do they all of a sudden get your details trying to force a sale down your throat because you "browsed clear score"?
Helped me find quotes on car and home insurance as well as fibre deals quick and easily, saved me a lot of time and effort, got feedback from service providers nearly instantly after using Hippo. My phone rang like crazy tho with so many providers calling but I needed as much quotes as possible ASAP and appreciated all the service providers calling me instead of me hunting down their contact details and using my own airtime lol. They are really quick to call back and ask the right questions to give you the information you're seeking. I appreciate the good communication. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because the amount of calls I got even after I was assisted, was insane. And even after I said I was helped and blocked the number, still they would phone from different numbers. That unfortunately will be the reason I will be hesitant to use them in future. Please guys this kind of stuff you need to REALLY work on. Respect and rapport is what helps make sales, not invading their space and phoning directly after a call has been declined and disrespecting their no.
