Echelon Private Client Insurance (Pty) Ltd

I have been trying to get claim history on a vehicle insured by Echelon, to no avail. I have emailed (no response), called (calls get cut off) and zero response. It's hard to understand how companies that are in such a competitive market can afford this kind of client service. I would not advise using these guys, there are definitely more client-focused insurance providers in our country.

Brilliant brilliant brilliant!!! I have only been with Echelon for a month, and I can say without a doubt that I will not leave. Aside from the seamless claim process and affordable monthly premiums, they put me before their profits. I know that I am not just a policy number with Echelon. I am a valued client.

my wife called their "home emergency" line on the morning of 20/06 to report a nonfunctioning geyser. After at least a dozen calls, several emails, a visit by both a plumber and an electrician, She is still waiting for them to do a simple repair. It's now the evening of 22/06. What a circus.

I have been a client for many years the service has always been excellent. In the last 2 weeks, Echelon's panel FOGI has appallingly handled our claim. The service from Starplex Plumbing is so poor that I would rather use a layperson of the street to assist me. I never imagined having a geyser problem and calling out our own plumber to just shut of the geyser would be such a problem. Not to mention at my own cost. I should have just let the celings, furniture, flooring etc get damaged and let the insurance just pay. I am so angry that the issue at hand is the the disconnection rather than that we saved our insurer tens of thousands of rands. Ecehlon, FOGI and Starplex are bringing your business into disrepute. They do not honour commitments or return phone calls. It is beyond belief that this is the service we pay for. 2 weeks to sort out such an issue is beyond belief but I expect nothing less in an environment of poor service now becoming the norm.

been a client of Echelon for 5years I claimed only a hand full of times and the last 2 claims left me with disgust for this company. they are full of promises and very quick to take your money but beware if its anything more than a geyser!!! with an accident claim on my vehicle they only payed half of the claim even when my excess was capped to R500. on my most recent claim they did not even have the decency to inform me 2 months after I claimed, for an appliance, that the application was denied. I had to phone around. This is supposed to be a premium brand?? pathetic

Had the pleasure of dealing with this company.Very quick and efficient .Had an undeground leak .They sorted it out without any hassle and no excess .

Cancelling my policy due to the poor service provided by Roadtrip the designated Home James shuttle service. We were left stranded in Boksburg this morning due to the non arrival of Jerry the allocated Roadtrip driver. If weren't for friends we would have missed our flight. If that's the calibre of service offered by Echelon service providers then they have a serious problem. Time to move on!!!

It took me 40 minutes to book a "Take-me-home" service! I got cut-ff a few times. The consultant could not find my policy number, but promised to confirm. Previously it took less than 5 minutes to book a ride. Very inconvenient.
