1st for Women Insurance

I am so furious right now! I took out insurance with 1st for women at the beginning of Feb, and there already deducted the 1st premium on 27th Feb. I was made to go to Glasfit to do an inspection , did that, the guy said the photos would go directly to FFW. The then took the premium, followed by a threatening email, saying I would only be covered for 3rd party, fire and theft!!! As they didn't receive the photos!!! So I replied to them, stating that the never received the photos. So, I tried to email them with the photos, guess what? The emailed to deliver as the FFW email doesn't work! Whaaat? So I called, with my airtime, only to be met by an AI assistant! I asked for a human, and after numerous calls back to them, I got a human. He said it's nest if I get their app, and it'd be easy to send the photos. So, I did that. Guess what, I couldn't do anything because the app screen was totally frozen!!! Now im really furious. I then phoned again (6th time) and asked to be put through to a human, to cancel this policy. The guy actually tried to cajole me into give them another chance. What arrogance. I asked him to cancel, he said "I can fix this" that I must email him directly! So again have to use MY data to do this. I told him to call glasfit and get the photos, as was not doing ANYTHING further, I have wasted my time, airtime and data! I will never be compensated for these. I am so done with FFW!!!!

I want to cancel a policy. Not due to bad service. But due to finances. But the industry makes it really an impossible uphill to cancel a policy. And it includes my ABSA bank funeral policy. Just want to remove my husband who passed away. Capital legacy I want to cancel due to bad service. Even Vodacom is bad. What is going on in this world? Why do they make it so difficult as possible to contact them via email.

I'm utterly disappointed with the services from 1st for Women. Their timeframe for finalizing claims is pathetic. It's 2 weeks now and my claim is not finalized. I also had to continuously follow up with them on my claim which resulted in downtime in my workplace and my airtime getting depleted due to the numerous calls made to them. The manager was supposed to contact me and to date I have not received a call from him/her. There is lack communication from them. They do not keep us updated on the progress of the claim. Also nothing gets updated on the app. I'm disgusted with their customer service and handling of my claim. I will definitely not recommend 1st for Women to any family and friends.

Great service from Nomfundo Mkwanazi at 1st for Women Insurance. She was friendly, patient, and explained everything clearly. She gave helpful advice and made the whole process easy. Very happy with the overall experience!

Even though i called 5 minutes before 17h00, the guy who took the call to authenticate my details was courteous and then Alulutho (hope i got the name right) was the star of the call. Within 15 minutes she managed to get me the right premium. She was so bubbly, knows her product and having an excellent customer skills. She is a gem of the office and deserves a whooping 5✴️✴️✴️✴️✴️ period.

Called in to reduce my premium as I’ve recently been retrenched. I was assisted by Tshepo, and what a great service! He advised me well and managed to lower my premiums. I recently cancelled my policy with First For Women Insurance. I would like to specifically commend Raylene Papher for the assistance she provided during the cancellation process. Raylene was extremely polite, professional, and genuinely helpful. She went out of her way to try and lower my premium to match the quotation from the new insurance company I have joined. She explored all possible discounts and options to ensure that I could still afford the policy while maintaining the same level of cover. Unfortunately, due to the significant increase in my premium over the years—despite previous attempts to reduce costs—I ultimately decided to move to a different insurance provider that is more affordable for me at this time. That said, I am very satisfied with the level of service I received during the cancellation process. The effort made to retain me as a client was evident, and I truly appreciate the assistance and professionalism shown. Thank you for the support and understanding.
